VPN or Virtual Private Network allows your computer to create a secure connection back to work. Basically, making your computer think it is physically back at work, thus giving you access to things that are only available to you while you are in our building. This could be printers or other systems.

If your VPN settings are not yet configured, the IT Team must remotely push the VPN client to your laptop.

Using VPN

  1. First, open System Preferences, then click on Network
  2. Find and click PASD VPN. Click on the check box next to "Show VPN Status in menu bar"
  3. Up by the clock, click on the VPN icon (looks like a slider), then click Connect to PASD VPN
  4. Lastly, sign in with the same username and password you use to sign onto your computer.
  5. When you are done accessing internal resources, click the VPN icon again and choose Disconnect
