Occasionally your Mac may be acting 'odd' or will not boot up. Sometimes these issues are complex, other times a simple reset of the system board may help. Below we will tell you how to reset various aspects of your system board.
How to reset you PRAM
- Turn off your Mac by clicking the apple icon in the top left, then shut down. Alternatively, if your Mac is 'frozen' you can hold the power button down for 10 seconds.
- Turn your Mac back on by pressing the power button. Immediately after pressing the power button hold down the keys Command+Option+P+R.
- Hold the keys until your Mac restarts and you hear the startup chime.
- Release the keys.
If resetting the PRAM does not resolve your issues, you can try resetting the SMC.

-
Press Shift+Control+Option on the left side of your keyboard and press the power button at the same time.
