Uninstall Unused Apps Within Self Service

We know that storage space on your school Mac can fill up quickly, especially with apps you might not use anymore. To help with this, the PASD Tech Team has added a few new uninstaller packages within the Self Service app.

What’s New?

  • You can now easily uninstall select unused applications to free up storage space.
  • If you ever need an app again, you can simply reinstall it anytime through Self Service.

How to Use the Uninstallers:

  1. Open the “Self Service” app on your Mac.
  2. Click on the “Uninstall Applications” category under the “Browse” header on the left.
  3. Select the apps you no longer need and click the “Uninstall” button on each one.
  4. Done! More space, less clutter.

Note for Bluebook Users:

If you need to update your Bluebook app and receive an error when trying, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Open the “Self Service” app on your Mac.
  2. Search for “Bluebook” – two results should show up.
  3. Click “Uninstall” on the “Uninstall Bluebook” package and wait for it to show “Done”.
  4. Click “Install” or “Open” and then “Install” on the “Bluebook” package.
  5. The newest version of the Bluebook app will be installed on your Mac.

If you have any questions or need help uninstalling an app that we don’t have an uninstaller for yet, please feel free to stop by the Tech Office.
