Apple TV Disable Auto-Play Features

To disable Apple TV apps from auto-playing media content (from apps like the TV app), please disable the auto-play feature by following the directions below:
Navigate to Settings App > Accessibility > Motion > Auto-Play Video Previews > Click the slider to Off

By default, Apple TV apps show a preview of current events/recently released media. To stop the Apple TV from showing content on startup, move the Settings app to the first app position (top left) by following the directions below:
To move the Settings app to the top leftmost app slot, long press on the Settings app > Click “Edit Home Screen” > Apps will start to shake > Move the Settings app to the top leftmost corner.
