Anytime you feel that your password may have been compromised the first thing you want to do is change your password. The instructions below will guide you through changing your password.

Before you get started determine what you will use as your new password. It is always a good idea to use a minimum of 8 characters. Be sure to use a combination of lowercase, UPPERCASE, symbols, and numbers. Make your password something easy for you to remember, but difficult for someone else to figure out.

Remember that changing your Active Directory password will also change your password for other systems. These included: Clever, PowerSchool Admin, PowerTeacher, Email, Google Account, and Staff Portals (Both website and payroll).

Macintosh Users

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Click on User & Groups
  3. Click the Change Password
  4. Enter your old password (once) and your new password (twice).

Windows Users

  1. Once you are signed in, press Control+Alt+Delete
  2. Choose Change a Password
  3. Enter your old password (once) and your new password (twice).

Note: Once you submit your new password you can begin using it for any of the services listed above. The next time you sign into your computer or wake it from sleep you will need to use your new password. Also, if you have your email setup on your mobile device it will ask you to re-enter your password so that you account can authenticate with your new password.
