Each time you connect your device to a network it creates a memory of the network to make it easier to reconnect in the future. Sometimes you do not want this to happen, so you need to tell your device to "Forget" the network. The directions below will walk you through forgetting a network that you have connected to in the past.
iOS Device (iPad or iPhone)
- Open the Settings app
- Find and tap on Wi-Fi
- Find the network you wish to forget and tap on the i that is associated with it.
- Tap on Forget This Network
- Tap on the name of the network you wish to connect. For any PASD device this should be PASD (if you try to connect to PASD and are prompted for a password, please see a Tech Team member or create a ticket).
Mac Device (MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, etc..)
- Open System Preferences
- Find and click on Network
- In the list on the left find and click on Wi-Fi
- Click on the Advanced button
- Find the network you wish to forget and click on it to select it
- With the network selected click on the [-] symbol icon
- When prompted, click Remove
- Click OK
- Click Apply
- You can not close the System Preferences Pane
